Complex "Register", developed in the laboratory of seismometry of the Institute of Geophysics. Yu.P. Bulashevich, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is designed to study a number of seismodynamic characteristics of various objects under the influence of elastic vibrations of artificial or natural origin.

These objects include, for example, the upper part of the geological section (UPGS), which responds to any endogenous processes occurring in the earth's crust; in addition, objects located on the surface of the UPGS are also constantly subjected to similar elastic influences. The numerical assessment of the seismodynamic characteristics of this kind of elastic influences is a task to be solved by the Register complex. By studying the dynamics of the seismicity of the UPGS areas and objects located on its surface over time, it is possible to predict the seismic activity of the studied areas, including the response to intense elastic influences, for example, a tectonic shock or a quarry explosion.
