The slags are produced in the process of copper concentrates smelting. They are processed by flotation to obtain copper concentrate and tailings, containing about 0.35-0.4% of copper, 1-3% of zinc, 35-45% of iron, 32-38% of SiO₂. They are not currently being recycled. It is advisable to develop a technology for slags processing with non-ferrous metals extraction and products obtaining suitable for use in ferrous metallurgy or construction industry.
